Philip Fowke is a distinguished English pianist celebrated for his extensive performance career, numerous recordings, and significant contributions to music education. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Gordon Green and made his London debut at Wigmore Hall in 1974. Philip quickly gained recognition, securing joint second place at the BBC Piano Competition, which catapulted him into the spotlight with broadcasts on BBC radio.

 

Throughout his career, Philip has performed with many leading orchestras and renowned conductors, including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Sir Simon Rattle and Sir Charles Groves. He is known for his versatility, having played a wide range of repertoire from classical concertos to popular film music. His recordings can be found on  such as EMI, Lyrita, and Naxos, featuring works by Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Ravel, Delius and Chopin.
